To meet the growing demand for our range of services, the MKO Estates & Project Management team (EPM) wishes to recruit a Project Manager to fulfill a client-side Project Management role on projects.
Job Description
Project Manager (Design, Consenting and Construction)
Join our Project Management team as a Project Manager. We are looking for a dedicated professional to fulfil a client-side Project Management role, driving the successful delivery of projects across Ireland.
You will work on exciting projects of varying size and scale, across a variety of sectors, including, higher education, life sciences, renewable energy, commercial, leisure, residential, and public realm.
This role is a unique opportunity to manage projects across their entire lifecycle, from identification of an opportunity through defining the project, planning and managing its design, consenting, and execution, and ensuring satisfactory close-out on final completion. You will collaborate with leading project design and delivery professionals, and contribute to great projects that enhance peoples’ lives and the environment.
 
What You’ll Bring to MKO
  • Assist in the management of all stages of various projects on behalf of our clients.
  • Manage projects from opportunity identification through defining, planning, design, consenting, execution, and satisfactory close-out.
  • Conduct day-to-day coordination of project activity at all project stages.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal & written) with diverse project stakeholders, including client personnel, community groups, design teams, contractors, and statutory bodies.
  • Manage and administer processes for procuring Design Teams and contractors.
  • Track and report on project performance and progress relative to agreed milestones and goals.
  • Produce high-quality, accurate written reports and technical documents, including Project Execution Plans, Project Progress Reports, and Feasibility Assessments.

What We’re Looking for in You
  • We’re seeking a highly communicative and motivated professional who can manage multiple work streams while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A degree in a construction-related discipline: Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Landscape Design, or Construction Management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively liaise with all project stakeholders.
  • The capacity to work effectively as part of a team and take a leadership role when required.
 
Ideally, you will also possess:
  • At least 2 years of post-graduation experience, ideally in construction-related professional services.
  • Experience of working as part of, or managing, a client design team comprising multiple professionals.
